An interesting set I found being sold on ebay. They almost appear "unfinished" with their blank covers that do not fulfill their 'Alan Lee panorama' box.  Published about 1988, the artwork was only on the box. If the books were purchased individually instead of boxed, they would come with artwork on a dustjacket. (Thank you, Linda, for the help with this one!)   Alongside them is the Pocket edition in French, published in 2000.  Hard to tell what that TTT is - a football-player Uruk-hai perhaps?  Who's the blue guy on the RotK?
